Operating Lights

X2MT
and X3MT surgical lights

Unique, high-end surgical lighting. Discover the XMT range, innovative surgical lighting with an exclusive design that offers performance beyond the technological limits of the market.

Discover our extra-wide field surgical lights

Our XMT range consists of surgical lights with a unique design that complies with all the hygiene requirements in the operating room. These surgical lights are a concentrate of technologies featuring an exclusive FOCUSMATIC patent. It allows the diameter of the illuminated field to be adjusted—up to very large spots— without any loss of intensity in the central illumination. These surgical lights assist surgeons in all types of surgical procedures.

Key features of our X2MT & X3MT surgical lights

High C.R.I

The CRI measures the capacity of a light source to reproduce the different colours of the light spectrum without changing them.
The unit is called Ra. There are 8 standard colours (R1 to R8). The scale is between 1 and 100. Values below 80 are considered poor.

Other specific colors are very important for surgery:

  • R9: represents the color red – very important in surgery for visualizing blood vessels
  • R13 & R15: represent white and Asian skin tones, respectively – very useful for dermatological applications

The surgical lights in the XMT range offer excellent color rendering (Ra 99 and R9 99), providing surgeons with accurate color reproduction in their surgical field similar to daylight, while improving visual comfort.

Ideal shadow elimination

The elimination of shadows is a key feature of surgical lighting, ensuring that procedures can be performed under optimal conditions.

That is why SURGIRIS designed XMT lighting fixtures with the optics of each module independent. Each petal diffuses a spot of light that overlaps the surgical field. As a result, even if one or more caregivers' heads are in the light field, no shadows appear on the circumference of the spot.

No mechanical movement

The exclusive (registered) FOCUSMATIC patent makes it possible to adjust the lighting to a very wide area without loss of intensity of the central lighting.

SURGIRIS lighting systems are the only ones that have this innovating technology. Based on sophisticated electronic LED management combined with an individualised optical system for each LED, FOCUSMATIC technology revolutionises the “focusing” function of surgical lighting.

This technology promises biomedical engineers peace of mind as there are no failures due to mechanical movements.

Low laminar flow disturbances

The DIN 1946-4 standard defines the authorised disturbances in the laminar flow to allow sterile air to circulate properly in the operating room.

A disturbance of less than 37.5% is recommended to avoid the spread of bacteria in the sterile field.
The unique and innovating design of the XMT lights has been thought out & designed to cause only small disturbances of the laminar flow (28/29%) and thus respect the constraints and hygienic standards of an operating room.

“The surgical lights in the SURGIRIS XMT range feature electronic focusing, which gives my entire team peace of mind and ensures that the lights are always operational. These functional lights never break down, which means we never have to close operating rooms.
I would also like to highlight the support and availability of the sales team, which gives me great peace of mind."
